If fate takes a hand ...

Last Tuesday (14 June 2016), I have the pleasure to discover in my mailbox an invitation made in person by Nicole BRUNN-ROSSO (delegated adviser of the Town Hall) to June 17, 2016 by the Mayor, 1st Vice President of the Agglomeration Community of Pays de Grasse, Jean-Marc Delia, at the cultural space of Saint Vallier de Thiey.

We, the village professionals are invited to a meeting with speakers from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the Chamber of Trades and Crafts and Economic Development Service of Grasse on the occasion the presentation of the recently opened Espace du Thiey (Thiey Area).

Unbelievable! 

I had to just write an email to the CCI to ask their solidarity support (subsidies) for our Gramzzle game project!

Once motivated and well briefed by Eric (we are puzzled ), I contact Melanie to solicit her help in drafting a letter to the attention of the various stakeholders.

We are agree to give them our brochure, our freshly business card created by Eric and that famous cover letter.

D-day

Luckily Michèle picks me up directly home, otherwise I would have missed this opportunity ...

Arrival at the Espace du Thiey, I discovered, for the first time, the great theater (capacity 300 people) Which are present the village professionals. I Am greeted by a warm handshake from the mayor.

Hardly the time to sit down to figure out that the meeting is over!

So it's time to put all my forces together and to meet the representatives present. Thus, 3 envelopes in the colors of Gramzzle are delivered by hand of the latter. We hope with all my heart that these people can guide us in our approach: obtaining financial aid.

Michele and I are joined by Hugues (health professional) and start chatting. Michele proposes us to visit the building because we were absent at the open-day.

We are soon joined by the Mayor who takes over the visit.

The space of the future library has an entertainment room, the meeting room, open space for offices in the tourist office and home of the department are really nice, spacious and generally bathed in light!

With such benefits, it is certain that this Espace du Thiey found success to welcome the public, conferences, congresses, exhibitions ...

A snack is offered where we have coffee accompanied by famous Belgian biscuits ... And yes, speculos! a wink to Belgium!

I take out my bag of visiting cards and propose to Hugues to choose one! It is time for him to leave, work first!

We commend the Mayor and I take this opportunity to talk to him in person about our game project. He is already aware, because we had notified via email. We explained the problem of the day: find financial aid and illustrators / graphic designers.

Immediately, he proposes the name of an local illustrator.

Just back home, I contacted her ... we will see …

I also discussed with Nicole who has a son who draws ... we'll see ... also!

Michèle told me that his son & his girlfriend draw as well...

In this momentum, I ask my FB contacts if some of them would be leaving to embark on the creation of images of Gramzzle box.
